The meaning of colours

Man must have stumbled on the meanings of colours at an early date, later on certain colours became associated with facts, events, ceremonies, titles, what may supprise us is to find that some colours have different meanings in various parts of the world.

What do colours stand for ? most colours have several meanings but these are closely connenected with each other .

Red is the colour of blood: it represents courage, sacrifice.

White is purity, chastity it's also the colour of surrender because a piece of white on a pole could be seen from a great distance and could not be mistaken for any other flag, white means cowardice too because some people surrender for no other reason than to save themselves.
